The company
A leading global market leading specialist contractor is actively seeking an HVAC (Mechanical Design) Lead to be part of the design and build team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high value projects within a stable and rapidly expanding sector.
The role
- As the HVAC Lead, you will be responsible for developing and delivering detailed designs and construction information for mechanical and HVAC systems.
- Oversee and support Design and Build technical activities across the Group.
- Assist in tendering and bid preparation for potential Design-Build contracts, including the development of design specifications for tender submissions.
- Assist the Head of Engineering with weekly resource planning for the entire group.
- Monitor HVAC design budgets and ensure timely delivery within budget constraints.
Could this role be for you?
- Bachelor’s degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
- Chartered status is preferred but not essential.
- 5 – 10 years’ experience in Life Sciences/Mission Critical/Data Centre sector.
- Knowledge of relevant BS/ISO standards and Codes of Practice.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and procedures.
- Knowledge and experience in developing designs for projects within cleanroom facilities.
- Experience using relevant MEP design software packages.
- Familiarity with standard forms of contract, including Design and Build
