Are you ready to bring data centres to life? We’re looking for a driven Commissioning Engineer to join our high-performing team in Eemshaven, where innovation meets precision in powering the digital world.
You’ll be on the frontline of commissioning complex electrical and mechanical systems-transformers, switchgear, UPS, cooling, and life safety systems-making sure they’re tested, validated, and ready to perform at the highest level. From Level 3 to Level 5 commissioning, you’ll lead essential phases in one of the most mission-critical environments on the planet.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and execute L3-L5 commissioning for cutting-edge base building systems.
- Manage testing and validation across electrical, mechanical, security, and network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot, track, and resolve issues in real-time to ensure quality delivery.
- Produce and maintain detailed commissioning documentation and test reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and design teams to integrate systems seamlessly.
- Implement industry-leading standards and quality control protocols.
- Contribute to SOPs, MOPs, and emergency procedures for system operations.
- Deliver technical training to end-users and operations teams.
- Support construction and commissioning activities, including potential night/weekend work.
What You Bring
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on commissioning or data centre engineering experience.
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, life safety, access control, and telecoms.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel between data centre locations as needed.
- Familiar with MS Office Suite and commissioning management tools.
Bonus Points For
- Experience with IP-based CCTV, biometric controls, VLANs, and network switching.
- Knowledge of fire detection and gaseous suppression systems.
- Understanding of data centre change management and maintenance processes.
