    About the role:
    We are looking for a Data Centre Shift Technician (LVAP) to join our team in Slough. As a Data Centre Technician, you will assist in the maintenance of critical systems within the data centre, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and within site-specific time constraints. You will operate as a Low Voltage Authorised Person (LVAP), ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements and company policies. This role involves close collaboration with engineering teams and management to provide support and leadership during planned and reactive maintenance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in routine maintenance and emergency repairs for building plant, equipment, and systems
    • Respond to alarms and carry out necessary actions via the Building Management System
    • Ensure Permit to Work systems and safety paperwork are followed and completed to a high standard
    • Maintain cooling and water systems in compliance with L8 standards
    • Oversee and document maintenance activities and ensure they meet service level agreements
    • Assist in the coordination of work tasks within the team, ensuring safe and efficient operations
    • Ensure subcontractors are supervised and comply with site processes
    • Develop a good working relationship with colleagues and clients
    • Promote a safe and professional environment, maintaining excellent customer service

    Experience & Skills Required:

    • LV Authorised Person or working towards this certification
    • Current Wiring Regulations certificate
    • Level 3 NVQ in an associated discipline
    • Emergency First Aid at Work qualification
    • Experience with real-time incident and fault management in a business-critical environment
    • Strong understanding of health and safety obligations within maintenance tasks
    • Good communication, organisational, and time management skills
    • Ability to work well both in a team and independently
    • Flexible approach to working hours and tasks
