    Energy and Grid Lead – Data Centres

    Location: Dublin

    An international leader in data center infrastructure development is seeking an experienced Energy and Grid Services Lead to support its growing portfolio of sustainable energy projects across multiple sites in Ireland and the UK.

    With over €1bn in funding and an expanding global presence, this rapidly growing company is at the forefront of providing low-carbon, high-efficiency energy solutions for data centres.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the energy procurement function, including market analysis, supplier management, and contract negotiations
    • Oversee Capacity Market and services development, execution, and performance optimization
    • Manage asset dispatch strategies to ensure optimal performance of energy assets across multiple sites
    • Conduct detailed analyses on renewable energy opportunities and identify cost-saving initiatives
    • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, design, operations) and external stakeholders (utilities, regulatory bodies) to drive decarbonization efforts
    • Provide technical guidance to senior leadership on regulatory changes and their impact on operations
    • Support infrastructure planning by working closely with design teams on market trends and technological advancements
    • Model decarbonization pathways and develop strategies to leverage capital projects, including grid connections, substations, and energy storage systems

    Qualifications:

    • 5-8 years of experience in sustainable energy, system services, or related fields
    • Experience preferably in the fields of mechanical, chemical or energy systems engineering.
    • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving abilities
    • Strong business acumen and relationship-building skills, with a proactive approach to innovation and improvement
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with excellent written and verbal English communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and manage projects to meet deadlines
    • Permission to work in Ireland
