Alex Perkins – Developing a successful career in data centre development

In this episode I am joined by Alex Perkins, Data Center Solutions Lead (APAC) for JLL.

Alex started his career as an electrical engineer in the UK and he has now established himself in the data center development space in the APAC region.

We discuss how Alex started his career in the UK and how he made the transition to Hong Kong following a brief stop in the US, the benefits of being an engineer in the world of data centre development, the challenges of data centre development, the drivers behind data centre growth, and how others can make the transition to a career in DC development.

Alex has an excellent view of the APAC region and the data centre market in general, he raises some excellent points around developing a career in data centres and the future growth of the industry. It is well worth a listen!
