Benoit Poisseroux – From Alpine Soldier to Data Centre Construction Planner

On this Episode I am joined by Benoit Poisseroux, Senior Construction Planner in the data centre and high technology sectors.

Benoit has worked on a number of data centre projects across Europe and has an excellent insight in to the workings of planning major high technology projects.

We discuss how Benoit went from being an alpine hunter in the French military to a construction planner on major projects, what it is like to plan to a hyperscale project, how the change in data storage continues to influence the data centre industry, how companies need to focus on retention as well as recruitment, and how the industry needs to be more open to people from other sectors.

Benoit has some excellent views on what it is like to work in the DC sector and how the sector needs to adapt as it continues to expand.
