About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Shift Technician to join our Data Centre operations team in West Drayton, London. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a mission-critical environment where reliability, precision, and attention to detail are essential.
As a Shift Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the site’s electrical and mechanical infrastructure, responding to alarms, and ensuring that systems operate at peak performance to support continuous uptime.
Key Responsibilities

Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical and mechanical systems

Support incident management and change management processes to maintain operational stability

Monitor and respond to Building Management System (BMS) alarms, identifying and resolving issues promptly

Ensure safe and efficient operation of all Data Centre systems in line with company policies and industry standards

Carry out fault diagnosis and repair work to minimise downtime and service interruptions

Collaborate closely with colleagues and management to ensure seamless shift handovers

Adhere to all health, safety, and compliance regulations
What We’re Looking For

Training & Qualifications: Electrical or Mechanical background with City & Guilds or equivalent certification

Experience: Previous experience in a critical environment (Data Centre, healthcare, pharmaceutical, financial services, etc.) is preferred

Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, clear communication skills, and a collaborative team approach
