Role Purpose

As Project Director, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of the data centre project-from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the data centre project in line with Soben’s and the client’s strategic goals.
• Oversee project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk management.
• Manage internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards, and client-specific requirements.
• Implement robust project controls and reporting mechanisms.
• Drive innovation in construction methods, sustainability, and digital delivery.
• Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Represent Soben in client meetings, regulatory discussions, and community engagements.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience in project management in data centre or mission-critical environments.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex construction projects in Europe.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with Dutch construction regulations and permitting processes is a plus.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience working with hyperscale clients (e.g., Microsoft, Google, AWS).
• Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and renewable energy integration.
• Ability to manage high-pressure environments and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Multilingual capabilities (Dutch/English) are advantageous.
