Project Controls Manager – Data Centre Construction
Location: Middenmeer, Netherlands
Sector: Mission Critical / Data Centres
Reports to: Project Director / Programme Manager
Role Purpose
The Project Controls Manager is responsible for overseeing planning, scheduling, cost control, and reporting functions across the lifecycle of a hyperscale data centre project. This role ensures that the project remains on track in terms of time, cost, and performance, and provides strategic insights to support decision-making and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using industry-standard tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Lead cost control processes including budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Implement earned value management (EVM) and performance measurement systems.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate with commercial, construction, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of controls data.
- Support risk management and change control processes.
- Ensure compliance with client reporting standards and contractual obligations.
- Mentor junior planning and controls staff and promote best practices.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, or related discipline.
- Experience in project controls, ideally within mission-critical or data centre environments.
- Proficiency in scheduling and cost control software (Primavera P6, Excel, Power BI, etc.).
- Strong understanding of project controls methodologies including EVM, critical path analysis, and cost management.
- Experience working on large-scale international construction projects.
- Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.

- Familiarity with NEC, FIDIC, or similar contract forms.
