Compliance Manager – Data Centre Construction
Location: Middenmeer, Netherlands
Sector: Mission Critical / Data Centres
Reports to: Project Director / Regional Compliance Director
Role Purpose
The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all project activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards. This includes overseeing regulatory compliance, ethical practices, and internal controls across the lifecycle of a hyperscale data centre construction project.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the project’s compliance framework, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor adherence to local, EU, and international regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance performance.
- Investigate and report on compliance breaches, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to project teams on compliance-related topics.
- Liaise with legal, HSE, quality, and commercial teams to ensure integrated compliance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Support ethical business conduct and anti-corruption initiatives.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Law, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience in compliance roles within construction or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Dutch and EU regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with large-scale international projects, ideally in mission-critical environments.
- Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCEP, ISO 37301, or equivalent) preferred.
