BIM Manager – Data Centre Construction

Location: Middenmeer, Netherlands
Sector: Mission Critical / Data Centres
Reports to: Project Director / Design Lead

Role Purpose

The BIM Manager is responsible for leading the Building Information Modelling (BIM) strategy and execution across all phases of a hyperscale data centre project. This includes managing digital models, coordinating design disciplines, and ensuring compliance with BIM standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project-specific BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Manage the creation, coordination, and maintenance of BIM models across CSA, MEP, and commissioning scopes.
• Ensure model accuracy, clash detection, and resolution through tools such as Navisworks and Revit.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams to ensure model integration and data consistency.
• Support digital handover processes including COBie and asset data structuring.
• Train and mentor project teams on BIM tools and workflows.
• Liaise with client representatives to ensure BIM deliverables meet expectations.
• Maintain documentation and reporting for BIM compliance and audits.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Experience in BIM roles, ideally within mission-critical or data centre environments.
• Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, etc.).
• Strong understanding of BIM standards (ISO 19650, PAS 1192) and digital construction workflows.
• Experience with large-scale international projects.
• Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.

• Familiarity with data integration platforms and digital twin technologies.
