Commissioning Lead

Job Title: Lead Commissioning Manager

Location: Netherlands or Belgium (project-based, with weekly travel)

Rate: €600 per day.

Project Duration: Until Q1 2027 (long-term, project-to-project focus)

Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Commissioning Manager with a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering to take ownership of commissioning activities across major projects in the Netherlands and Belgium. This is a long-term position suited to someone who enjoys stability, structure, and seeing projects through from start to finish.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving progress on site, leading General Contractor (GC) meetings, managing documentation, and ensuring commissioning milestones are met efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and chair GC and project commissioning meetings.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of meeting outcomes, actions, and project milestones.

• Provide clear direction and technical leadership to the project commissioning team.

• Collaborate closely with internal leads to integrate commissioning processes into live projects.

• Oversee and coordinate commissioning activities to meet deadlines, quality standards, and safety requirements.

• Support project teams through all phases of commissioning, from planning to handover.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a Lead Commissioning Manager within mechanical or electrical systems.

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

• Confident in chairing meetings and driving progress under pressure.

• Excellent organisational and documentation abilities.

• Track record of delivering long-term, complex construction or data centre projects.

• Willingness to travel weekly for on-site work (Monday to Friday).

Compensation & Logistics

• Rate: €600 per day.

• Contract: Daily rate, with full coverage for accommodation, transport, and subsistence expenses.
