Looking for your next career step in the Data Centre industry?
We’re working with a leading global Data Centre operator to find a Construction Manager to oversee the development of a new Data Centre project in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career – whether you’re a graduate or have a few years of experience in construction – who’s eager to step into the exciting world of Data Centres and play a key role in delivering a mission-critical facility.

    The Role

As the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the construction process for a new Data Centre development. You’ll work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including senior project managers, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a high-growth sector, with the chance to gain experience in managing complex and large-scale infrastructure projects while being mentored by senior professionals in the field.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Project Coordination: Assist in managing and coordinating day-to-day construction activities for the new Data Centre development.
    • Contractor Liaison: Work closely with contractors and subcontractors, ensuring work is being carried out to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
    • Health & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and regulations across the site, with a focus on creating a safe working environment for all workers.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal teams, including project managers, designers, and operations teams, to ensure alignment and smooth communication throughout the project.
    • Progress Tracking: Help track project timelines and milestones, providing regular updates to senior managers on project status and any potential risks or delays.
    • Quality Control: Assist in ensuring that all construction work meets the company’s quality standards and complies with all relevant regulations.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Early-Career Experience: Ideal for a graduate with a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or someone with 1-3 years of experience in construction project management or site management.
    • Interest in Data Centres: A keen interest in Data Centres and the critical infrastructure sector, with a desire to learn and grow within this rapidly expanding industry.
    • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external contractors.
    • Problem-Solving Mindset: Willingness to take initiative, address challenges head-on, and be part of a solutions-driven team.
    • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality work and compliance with deadlines.
    • Health & Safety Awareness: A basic understanding of construction health and safety protocols (e.g., NEBOSH or similar would be beneficial but not essential).

    What We Offer:

    • Exciting Career Development: An excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a rapidly growing industry and learn from senior construction professionals.
    • Professional Growth: The chance to work on a high-profile Data Centre project and gain exposure to large-scale infrastructure development.
    • Competitive Salary & Benefits: Attractive salary package with benefits and the opportunity to grow within a global, innovative company.
    • Supportive Team Environment: A collaborative and supportive culture where you’ll have access to mentorship and training to develop your skills and expertise.
