Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Center Project Manager to lead mission-critical construction projects based in Atlanta, GA, with potential travel to project sites as needed. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who excels in managing complex construction projects, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and client satisfaction from project inception through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive project business plans.
- Collaborate with field management to create and maintain job-specific safety plans.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, engineers, and architects.
- Coordinate all aspects of pre-construction and field operations, ensuring quality standards and contract deliverables are met.
- Lead subcontractor coordination and oversee procurement, cost tracking, and project documentation.
- Manage project setup, including permitting, licensing, and jobsite mobilization.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
- Conduct safety audits and ensure full compliance with safety and quality control programs.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and payment applications.
- Oversee project reporting, documentation, and communication across all stakeholders.
- Lead project closeout activities, including final inspections, documentation, and financial reconciliation.
- Mentor and support assistant project managers and interns, promoting professional growth within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of construction project management experience.
- Experience in data center or mission-critical facility construction is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage all phases of construction, including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
- Proficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., Prolog, E1, or similar).
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel or relocate as required.
