Data Centre Day Engineer
Job Title: Critical Facilities Maintenance Mechanical Day Engineer
Location: E. London, On-site, Full-time
Salary: £48,000
I am currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work for an established Data Centre provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay on top of the technical aspects of all our equipment.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance work, making sure our systems are up-to-date.
- Carry out maintenance tasks safely and efficiently, meeting deadlines and service standards.
- Troubleshoot and fix any issues quickly to keep everything running smoothly.
- Oversee and coordinate maintenance work, ensuring it meets our standards.
- Help manage incidents, figure out what went wrong, and support the Shift Engineering Teams.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure we’re following best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in facilities, operations, or engineering within Data Centers or critical environments.
- Strong understanding of engineering operations in Business-Critical Environments.
- Experience with complex M&E systems (Electrical distribution, BMS, HVAC, etc.).
- 18th Edition certified or similar electrical qualifications preferred.
- IOSH – Working Safely certification required.
- Good understanding of Data Centre systems, water treatment L8, and F-GAS/J11 is advantageous.
About You:
- Experience with A/C/Chiller and Cooling Systems is beneficial.
- Strong customer service commitment and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and willing to share knowledge with colleagues.
- Must pass full security checks to BS7858:2019 standard.
