Resident Engineer – Electrical

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Resident Engineer to join a major hyperscale data centre construction project in Finland.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a technically challenging, large-scale data centre development, supporting the delivery of complex electrical infrastructure and installation works.

The successful candidate will act as a key technical presence on site, helping identify, troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues before they impact project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site electrical engineering support throughout the construction and installation phases.

• Identify, troubleshoot and proactively resolve technical issues on site.

• Anticipate potential installation challenges and implement solutions before they affect programme delivery.

• Review, prepare and coordinate RFIs (Requests for Information) and technical submissions.

• Liaise with the wider engineering team to resolve technical queries.

• Provide practical engineering input on electrical installation methods and processes.

• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with relevant electrical standards and project specifications.

Essential Experience

• Previous experience as an Electrical Resident Engineer, Site Engineer or similar.

• Experience working on large-scale data centre construction projects.

• Strong practical knowledge of electrical installation and construction.

• Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve site-based engineering challenges.

• Experience identifying potential issues before they arise.

• Comfortable coordinating RFIs and technical submissions with off-site engineering teams.

• A proactive, hands-on problem solver.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working on first-of-a-kind or technically complex data centre developments.

• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.

• Strong understanding of electrical installation methodologies and construction challenges.

Additional Requirements

• Must have the ability to work in Finland and have the necessary Finnish employment/tax setup.

• Green Card and SFS6002 electrical safety certification required for site access.
