CSA Estimator – Data Centre Construction

Reports to: Estimating Lead / Commercial Manager
Role Purpose
The CSA Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for the Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) elements of a hyperscale data centre project. This role supports tendering, budgeting, and procurement decisions, ensuring that all CSA scopes are priced competitively and in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for CSA packages based on drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
- Support the development of project cost plans and budgets.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and bid evaluations.
- Liaise with design, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on scope and pricing.
- Maintain and update historical cost databases and benchmarking tools.
- Identify cost risks and opportunities and support value engineering initiatives.
- Review subcontractor and supplier quotations for accuracy and completeness.
- Support post-tender negotiations and contract award processes.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience in estimating roles, with a focus on CSA packages.
- Strong understanding of civil, structural, and architectural construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., CostX, CATO, Excel).
- Experience with large-scale construction projects, ideally in mission-critical or data centre environments.
- Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience with NEC, FIDIC, or similar contract forms.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with BIM and digital estimating platforms.
