CSA Estimator – Data Centre Construction

Reports to: Estimating Lead / Commercial Manager

Role Purpose

The CSA Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for the Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) elements of a hyperscale data centre project. This role supports tendering, budgeting, and procurement decisions, ensuring that all CSA scopes are priced competitively and in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for CSA packages based on drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
• Support the development of project cost plans and budgets.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and bid evaluations.
• Liaise with design, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on scope and pricing.
• Maintain and update historical cost databases and benchmarking tools.
• Identify cost risks and opportunities and support value engineering initiatives.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations for accuracy and completeness.
• Support post-tender negotiations and contract award processes.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in estimating roles, with a focus on CSA packages.
• Strong understanding of civil, structural, and architectural construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., CostX, CATO, Excel).
• Experience with large-scale construction projects, ideally in mission-critical or data centre environments.
• Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience with NEC, FIDIC, or similar contract forms.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with BIM and digital estimating platforms.
