Quality Lead – Data Centre Construction
Location: Middenmeer, Netherlands
Sector: Mission Critical / Data Centres
Reports to: Project Director / Regional Quality Manager
Role Purpose
The Quality Lead is responsible for implementing and managing the quality assurance and control systems across all phases of a hyperscale data centre construction project. This role ensures that all works meet client specifications, regulatory standards, and internal quality benchmarks, while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the project-specific Quality Management Plan (QMP).
- Oversee quality assurance and control processes across CSA, MEP, and commissioning scopes.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and quality reviews on-site.
- Manage non-conformance reporting (NCRs), root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to ensure quality expectations are met.
- Maintain quality documentation and ensure traceability of materials and workmanship.
- Support handover and commissioning processes with quality-related deliverables.
- Provide training and guidance to project teams on quality standards and procedures.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Experience in quality management within construction, ideally in mission-critical or data centre environments.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, QA/QC procedures, and construction quality standards.
- Experience with large-scale international projects and fast-track delivery models.
- Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.
- Quality certifications (e.g., IRCA, CQI, Six Sigma) preferred.
