We are currently recruiting for a TFE to join an end client, primarily based on site in Chertsey. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Shift Lead/Manager who is looking to take a step up into a more senior role, directly with the client themselves.
The Technical Facilities Engineer will be reporting to the Head of Technical Facilities, whilst working alongside colleagues within the TFM team and key suppliers.
The principal purpose of this role is to support the Technical Facility Team in ensuring that they maintain safe operation, they are compliant with facility and building services law and associated regulation and that they operate and maintain building services uptime 24 x 7 x 365.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily validation of campus services operation, providing incident and risk reports to the Head of Technical Facilities.
- Responsible for supporting the timely closure of Facility compliance actions; specifically in relation to Fire, Noise and Water management.
- Responsible for validating third party supplier works activities, ensuring the expected standards of safety and workmanship are maintained at all times and that agreed RAMS are followed.
- Responsible for goods and/or services receipting in relation to third party project and/or additional works activities prior to payment.
- Responsible for the production of third-party SLA and KPI reporting through the CAFM system.
- Responsible for having oversight of the correct use of the e-permit system.
- Responsible for supporting the client services team in ensuring we present best in class customer experience.
- Responsible for oversite of site risks and ensuring risks associated are correctly mitigated, managed and reported.
- Responsible for the sites budget, ensuring value in anything we procure.
- Working with suppliers, colleagues and customer to deliver optimal PUE for the site.
- Participate in out of hours escalation call out.
- Participate in out of hours maintenance activities as part of the team where required.
Requirements:
- A recognised trade qualification in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline or Building Services.
- 5+ years’ experience in critical engineering services (ideally Data Centres)
- HVAP Qualification is preferred.
- A history of leading teams and working closely with contractors etc.
- Ability to converse with the client themselves.
- Driving license – occasional visits to additional sites required.
