David Davies – Creating the next generation of data centre design engineers

In this episode I am joined by David Davies, Associate for Arup in the critical systems division.

David graduated in engineering at the University of Cardiff and started his career with Arup. After working in the buildings division David gained exposure to data centres and he hasn’t looked back.

We discuss why David chose a career in engineering, how he gained exposure to data centres, how the industry has evolved, and how he has established an in house training course to create the next generation of data centre design engineers.

David has an excellent insight into the design and delivery element of data centres and his market leading training course is a great example of how the industry can adapt to create the engineers of the future.
