    Role Overview
    The Senior Scheduler will play a critical role in planning and coordinating scheduling activities across complex commercial and mission-critical construction projects. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining and reviewing project schedules, collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate sequencing, and supporting planning efforts throughout all phases of construction.
    The role requires strong analytical capability, deep understanding of scheduling methodologies and construction workflows, and the ability to guide project teams through schedule impacts, recovery strategies and best-practice process improvements.


    Key Responsibilities
    Scheduling & Planning

    • Develop, update and manage project schedules in collaboration with operational teams.
    • Participate in proposal, baseline and ongoing schedule development throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Conduct schedule reviews to ensure alignment with planning strategies, critical path, and best practice standards.
    • Support construction planning by assessing sequencing, delays, recovery plans and risk scenarios.
    • Lead or support pull-planning and Lean scheduling sessions and integrate outputs into CPM schedules.
    • Perform ongoing schedule monitoring through regular site visits and progress evaluations.
    • Support preconstruction and business development efforts, including proposal support and interview participation.
    • Prepare schedule reports and documentation required for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Coordinate with trade partners to align schedule expectations and resolve conflicts.
    • Contribute to development and maintenance of template libraries and internal scheduling standards.
    • Assist in incorporating resource and cost loading when required.

    Team Support & Leadership

    • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members when applicable.
    • Deliver training sessions and develop scheduling training materials.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling processes and tools.
    • Participate in planning and post-project review meetings to support lessons learned.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong analytical, organisational and technical problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
    • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload under deadlines.
    • Effective communication and presentation capabilities.
    • Advanced knowledge of scheduling tools and construction sequencing methods.
    • Understanding of Lean methodologies and pull planning principles.
    • Experience managing schedule impacts due to change orders, delays and disruptions.
    • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to identify scheduling risks and implement solutions proactively.

    Education & Experience
    Preferred

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline.
    • 5+ years of planning and scheduling experience within commercial or mission-critical construction environments.

    Additional

    • Familiarity with a variety of construction project types and delivery methods.
    • Ability to travel periodically to project sites.

    Working Conditions

    • Travel required on an occasional basis depending on project assignment.
    • Full-time role based in an office environment with site visits as needed.
