The Opportunity

We are working with a leading commissioning specialist seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Provider to support the delivery of complex data centre projects across the US.
This is a hands-on, technically driven role where you will work alongside experienced commissioning professionals to ensure mission-critical facilities are delivered safely, reliably and in line with design intent. You will be involved throughout the full commissioning lifecycle, from design review through to integrated systems testing.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors and client teams
* Review design documentation including OPR, BOD, drawings and specifications
* Review submittals and shop drawings
* Conduct site observation visits and produce detailed reports
* Develop commissioning test scripts including Level 2, Level 4 and Level 5 testing
* Execute and witness commissioning activities on site
* Lead and manage the resolution of commissioning issues
* Support the delivery of fully commissioned, operational facilities

Technical Experience

* Strong knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems within data centres
* Experience with air and water-cooled chillers, chilled water systems and AHUs
* Understanding of Building Automation Systems and sequences of operation
* Experience witnessing equipment start-up and functional testing
* Solid engineering understanding within the built environment

The Profile

* Background in MEP construction, commissioning or project management (5+ years or degree qualified)
* Experience working on data centre or mission-critical projects
* Comfortable operating in both site and client-facing environments
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Able to analyse issues and provide practical solutions

Certifications / Requirements

* OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 preferred)
* NFPA 70E required
* Commissioning or engineering certifications beneficial but not essential
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
* Willingness to travel extensively
