DataX Connect are partnered with a top-tier Owner’s Representative and engineering consultancy in the hyperscale data center space who are looking for a Commissioning Construction Manager (CxCM) to join there team.

About the Role
This is not your typical construction management job. As a CxCM, you’ll act as the owner’s on-site representative and subject matter expert across commissioning levels L1-L5. You’ll ensure infrastructure is delivered on schedule, fully tested, and ready for seamless handoff, while upholding the highest standards in quality, safety, and compliance.
You’ll be embedded in a major data center project in Columbus, OH, followed by additional high-impact projects across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities
- Represent the owner’s interests onsite across all commissioning phases (L1-L5)
- Manage cross-functional commissioning efforts with contractors, vendors, and OEMs
- Enforce QA/QC standards, track readiness, and resolve issues early to ensure on-time operational turnover
- Use tools like Procore, BIM 360, MS Project, and more to maintain documentation and reporting
- Uphold site safety and LOTO policies while facilitating technical excellence
What You Bring
- Proven experience commissioning electrical, mechanical, and controls systems in mission-critical environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and resolve conflicts proactively
- Familiarity with data center MEP infrastructure and commissioning best practices
- Ability to travel extensively and/or relocate to project sites as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or related field – or equivalent technical experience
