The Opportunity
We are currently supporting the delivery of a major Data Center development in Lubbock, Texas and are seeking an experienced CSA Lead – Civil, Structural & Architectural to join the project on a long-term contract basis.
The CSA Lead will oversee the Civil, Structural and Architectural construction scopes, providing strong field leadership and managing contractors throughout the delivery of a complex mission critical facility.
This is a hands-on construction role requiring someone who is comfortable being boots on the ground, managing the General Contractor and subcontractors, coordinating interfaces and driving programme, quality and delivery.
Experience delivering Data Center, Mission Critical, Industrial, Power or other large-scale construction projects would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Civil, Structural and Architectural construction scopes across the project.
- Provide day-to-day field oversight of the General Contractor and relevant subcontractors.
- Maintain a strong presence on site and monitor construction activities.
- Monitor construction progress, quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate Civil, Structural and Architectural works with Mechanical, Electrical, Controls and other project disciplines.
- Oversee site development, structural works, building envelope and architectural construction activities.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs and technical documentation.
- Monitor construction schedules and contractor progress against key project milestones.
- Identify constructability issues, clashes, constraints and sequencing risks and coordinate appropriate solutions.
- Participate in site walks, contractor meetings, coordination sessions and progress reviews.
- Manage interfaces between CSA packages and MEP installation activities.
- Work closely with engineering, project controls and construction management teams.
- Monitor General Contractor and subcontractor performance.
- Support the resolution of programme and construction issues.
- Support inspections, punch lists, turnover and project closeout.
- Provide regular reporting on construction progress, risks, scheduling and contractor performance.
Experience Required
- Significant CSA construction experience within Data Centers, Mission Critical, Industrial, Power, Renewable Energy or other major construction environments.
- Strong understanding of Civil, Structural and Architectural construction.
- Experience managing General Contractors and specialist subcontractors.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Experience with construction scheduling, project controls and contractor management.
- Ability to interpret Civil, Structural and Architectural drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Strong field construction background with the ability to identify and resolve issues directly on site.
- Experience coordinating CSA works with major Mechanical and Electrical packages is highly desirable.
- Comfortable working directly with contractors, subcontractors and site teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Data Center construction experience is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred; however, candidates with significant relevant construction experience will also be considered.
Contract Details
This is a long-term contract opportunity based in Lubbock, Texas.
The role requires a significant on-site presence, and candidates should be comfortable travelling to and working from the project location.
Rate: $80-$110 per hour + per diem.
Specific travel and rotation arrangements will be discussed based on individual availability.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CSA construction professional to take ownership of a major package on a large-scale Data Center development.
