The Opportunity
We are seeking an Electrical Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activities on large-scale data centre projects across the US. This is a senior, site-driven role where you will take ownership of electrical commissioning delivery, leading teams through the full lifecycle from pre-functional testing through to integrated systems testing.
You will play a critical role in ensuring complex electrical infrastructure is delivered safely, reliably and in line with design intent on high-value, mission-critical projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead electrical commissioning delivery across hyperscale data centre projects
* Manage and coordinate commissioning teams, vendors and subcontractors
* Oversee Level 2, Level 4 and Level 5 commissioning activities (IV, FPT, IST)
* Review electrical design documentation, submittals and test procedures
* Lead energisation planning, switching procedures and system start-up
* Drive issue resolution, tracking and close-out of commissioning items
* Interface with client, GC and key stakeholders throughout project delivery
* Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures and project requirements
* Report on commissioning progress, risks and milestones
Technical Experience
* Strong expertise in electrical systems within data centres
* Experience with MV/LV distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators and EPMS
* Deep understanding of system interdependencies and sequences of operation
* Proven experience leading energisation and integrated systems testing
* Background in commissioning large, complex mission-critical facilities
The Profile
* Proven experience in an Electrical Commissioning Manager or Lead role
* Strong background in commissioning, MEP or electrical engineering
* Experience delivering hyperscale or large data centre projects
* Confident leading teams and managing multiple stakeholders on site
* Able to take full ownership of commissioning delivery and programme
* Strong communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
Certifications / Requirements
* OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 preferred)
* NFPA 70E required
* Relevant electrical or commissioning certifications beneficial
* Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and schematics
* Willingness to travel and work on site
