A leading service provider in the mission-critical sector is seeking a highly capable Data Centre Engineering Manager to oversee engineering operations at a major data centre site in the Docklands. This is a senior role responsible for maintaining operational excellence, managing all site-based engineering teams, and ensuring full up time of critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate all engineering and maintenance operations across the site

• Act as the technical authority on all systems, including 11kV high-voltage infrastructure

• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, risk assessments, and statutory obligations

• Manage shift engineers and specialist subcontractors, including training and development

• Oversee PPM delivery, asset management systems, and emergency procedures

• Act as a primary point of contact for client liaison and technical reporting

• Support incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum of five years’ experience in a critical environment or data centre operations

• High-voltage authorised person (HVAP) status essential

• Recognised technical qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g. City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2, 17th/18th Edition, 2391)

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing technical teams

• Proficient in systems such as BMS, CMMS, UPS, generators, HVAC, and emergency lighting

• Demonstrates initiative, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to service excellence
