We’re partnering with an ambitious AI infrastructure platform at a pivotal stage of its growth.
The business has secured its first development, additional projects are progressing through the pipeline, and significant investment is in place to support long-term expansion.
The next critical hire is someone who can build the commercial foundations of the organisation.
This is an opportunity to help shape the strategy, structure and operating model of a business from the ground up, working alongside the executive leadership team to influence how the company grows across multiple international markets.

The Opportunity

This is far more than a traditional commercial role.
Initially, the focus is on building the commercial function rather than leading a sales organisation.
You’ll help establish the commercial strategy, develop processes and governance, provide market intelligence, support investment decisions and ensure commercial thinking sits at the heart of every major decision the business makes.
As the platform grows, you’ll play a key role in developing customer relationships, commercial partnerships and ultimately building the sales capability.
Reporting directly into the executive leadership team, you’ll have genuine influence over the direction of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s commercial strategy
• Build the commercial function, processes and operating framework from the ground up
• Provide market intelligence across AI infrastructure, hyperscale and data centre markets
• Support investment decisions through commercial analysis, demand forecasting and competitive benchmarking
• Work closely with development, finance and executive leadership on business planning and capital deployment
• Develop pricing strategies and commercial models for future capacity
• Build relationships with hyperscalers, AI platforms, cloud providers, GPU ecosystem participants and strategic partners
• Support negotiations for future customer agreements and commercial partnerships
• Establish reporting, governance and KPIs across the commercial function
• Help shape the long-term go-to-market strategy as the business expands into new regions

The Person

We’re looking for an experienced commercial leader who enjoys building businesses rather than simply operating within established structures.
You’ll likely bring:

• 10+ years’ experience within data centres, digital infrastructure, AI infrastructure or a closely related sector
• Strong commercial, strategic or business development leadership experience
• Experience developing commercial frameworks, processes and operating models
• Strong understanding of data centre customers, market dynamics and investment drivers
• Experience supporting executive teams with commercial strategy and business planning
• Ability to work comfortably with investors, board members and senior stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills combined with excellent relationship management
