Preconstruction Manager – Data Centre Projects

DUBLIN BASED

Our client is a leading data centre company designing, building, and operating hyperscale facilities across Europe. With strong investment backing and an experienced leadership team, they are expanding and seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join their growing team.

The Role

Reporting to the Preconstruction Director, you will:

• Develop and update construction schedules, ensuring smooth project delivery.
• Oversee customer onboarding and site preparation.
• Define construction strategies and support budgeting with the Commercial Team.
• Manage contractor and supplier onboarding.
• Lead tender processes and contractor appointments.
• Collaborate with external partners on due diligence and preconstruction activities.
• Work with the design team to create safe, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions.
• Travel as needed to oversee preconstruction activities and support local teams.

Requirements

Essential:

• Degree in construction, electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of preconstruction or construction experience on industrial/commercial projects.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and lead contracts worth €20m+.

Preferred:

• 7+ years in the European data centre industry.
• Experience working with major data centre providers across multiple locations.
• Strong expertise in scheduling, tender management, and value engineering.
• Proficiency in Building Information Modelling (BIM).
