About Our client: Our client is a leading provider of reliable power solutions, with significant projects across the UK and Europe. They are looking for a talented Project Manager to lead their substantial data center projects in the Netherlands during an exciting period of growth.
The Role: We are looking for a highly capable Project Manager to take immediate responsibility for running individual, large-scale data center projects in the Netherlands. The project is in Eemshaven (a follow-on phase for an existing project) . This project is significant in scale and complexity, involving a high number of generators and critical equipment deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of project delivery for a ~£100 million data center project.
- Maintain project costs, program, and health and safety standards.
- Report internally and externally on financial progress, project progress, and risk.
- Oversee the logistical delivery of equipment such as generators, transformers, and switchgear.
- Lead and manage site teams, ensuring efficient operations.
- Work with Ms. Projects or similar project program software.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) sector, with a strong preference for data center experience.
- Experience in logistically delivering large equipment (e.g., transformers, switchgear).
- Proficiency in project program software (e.g., Ms. Projects).
- Confident in financial, progress, and risk reporting.
- Ability to work in the Netherlands (right to work in Europe, EU passport, etc.).
- While in-country presence is ideal, a rotation of 10 days on / 4 days off can be considered during the design and procurement phase, with increased on-site presence required during the delivery phase (from September next year).
