    Head of Cost Management – UK & Ireland

    Location: UK or Ireland (Flexible)
    Salary: £120,000 – £150,000 + Bonus

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Cost Management to lead the UK & Ireland division of a prestigious international construction consultancy. As the lead figure in this dynamic role, you will spearhead the growth and development of our cost management services, with a strong focus on the data centre sector. With business already booming and key projects in motion, this is a pivotal role for a seasoned leader who is ready to make an impact.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Business Development: Take charge of business development efforts for cost management across the UK and Ireland, with a particular focus on the data centre sector. You’ll be responsible for driving growth and securing new opportunities.
    • Client Relationships: Leverage your existing network and build strong relationships with key industry players. You’ll need to have established contacts and be comfortable networking at a senior level.
    • Project Leadership: Oversee a portfolio of data centre projects currently under way across the UK, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
    • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 25 professionals working on data centre projects, providing strategic guidance and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
    • Strategic Oversight: Contribute to the overall growth strategy of the business, ensuring that the cost management function is aligned with wider business goals.
    • Financial Management: Ensure the cost management team meets its financial targets, with the business expected to turnover £30 million in the data centre sector this year there is plenty of room for further growth.

    About You: The ideal candidate is an experienced leader in cost management with a strong background in the client/consultancy sector. You’ll have a proven track record in business development, particularly within the data centre industry, and be ready to lead from the front in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

    • Proven Leadership: Extensive experience in cost management at a senior level, with a focus on major projects.
    • Data Centre Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the data centre sector and a strong network of industry contacts.
    • Client-Focused: Ability to build and maintain high-level relationships with clients, driving business development and securing new opportunities.
    • Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a large team, driving performance and ensuring successful project delivery.
    • Business Development: A strategic mindset with a history of successfully growing business units and driving financial performance.
    • Commercial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, with the ability to drive growth and increased revenue.
