DataX Connect are seeking an experienced Quality Manager (QA/QC) to lead all quality assurance and quality control activities for a major data centre construction project in Paris for a global developer.

The successful candidate will ensure that all work meets the highest quality standards, complies with project specifications, and adheres to industry regulations. This role involves managing quality processes across the entire project lifecycle, collaborating with key stakeholders, and implementing strategies to continuously improve quality outcomes on site.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and Implement QA/QC Plans: Create and maintain a detailed Quality Assurance and Quality Control plan for the data centre construction project. Ensure all quality processes align with contractual obligations, industry standards, and company policies.
    • Quality Control Inspections: Lead the regular inspection of construction activities to verify that all materials, installations, and workmanship meet the required quality standards and specifications. Coordinate third-party testing and inspections where necessary.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain thorough and up-to-date quality documentation, including inspection reports, test results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions. Provide regular quality updates to senior management and clients.
    • Non-Conformance and Defect Management: Identify, document, and manage non-conformances and defects in a timely manner. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring issues and ensure continuous improvement.
    • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and suppliers to ensure that quality requirements are clearly communicated and understood. Coordinate with project teams to ensure quality objectives are integrated into all aspects of the build.
    • Supplier and Material Quality Assurance: Oversee the inspection and approval of all materials and equipment supplied to the project. Ensure compliance with project specifications, including certificates of conformance and material data sheets.
    • Compliance with Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant French and European construction regulations, as well as data centre-specific requirements. Stay updated on any changes in quality and safety legislation that may affect the project.
    • Continuous Improvement: Implement and promote best practices in quality management. Lead efforts to improve quality processes and procedures to enhance overall project delivery.
    • Training and Awareness: Conduct training and awareness sessions on QA/QC standards, processes, and procedures for the project team and subcontractors to ensure high-quality performance across the site.
    • Handover and Closeout: Prepare and coordinate all QA/QC documentation for project closeout and client handover. Ensure all necessary certifications, as-built drawings, and quality records are complete and compliant with contractual obligations.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications in Quality Management (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, etc.) is highly desirable.
    • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, particularly in large-scale construction projects. Previous experience on data centre or mission-critical infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
