Electrical Lead – Data Centre Construction

What You Will Do:
In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all electrical work on a flagship data centre build. Manage subcontractors, liaise with the main contractor, and ensure all work complies with stringent safety standards, quality benchmarks, and project deadlines. Your leadership will help drive the successful delivery of a critical infrastructure project, ensuring seamless integration of electrical systems.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager or Electrical Construction Manager, ideally within data centre projects
• Strong expertise in large-scale electrical installations, including power, lighting, and critical systems
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and technical drawings

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working on data centre or mission-critical infrastructure builds
• Familiarity with BIM, construction management software, or project scheduling tools
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or relevant electrical trade qualifications
• Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient electrical solutions in large-scale projects

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Electrical apprenticeship, technical college diploma, or higher-level qualification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical project delivery, with significant responsibility for managing external teams and subcontractors

Other Requirements:

• Based in or willing to commute to East London with flexible travel within the project scope
• Valid electrical license and safety certifications as required by local regulators
• Comfortable operating in active construction environments, both indoors and outdoors
