Director of Virtual Design Build Technologies (VDBT)

Remote-Flexible | Mission Critical / Data Center Projects

A rapidly growing mission critical design-build firm is seeking a Director of Virtual Design Build Technologies (VDBT) to lead digital delivery across hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center projects.

This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role focused on BIM/VDC standards, model coordination, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and multidisciplinary project delivery. You will work closely with design teams, subcontractors, field operations, and project leadership while helping build and scale the company’s VDBT capability.

Responsibilities

* Lead BIM/VDC strategy and digital delivery standards
* Manage federated models, clash detection, and coordination workflows
* Oversee Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) environments
* Coordinate with design firms, subcontractors, and project teams
* Drive constructability reviews, 4D scheduling, and prefabrication workflows
* Support MEP coordination across complex mission critical infrastructure
* Help build and lead a growing VDBT team

Requirements

* 7+ years of BIM/VDC leadership experience
* Strong mission critical/data center project experience
* Expert knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, and ACC
* Experience managing BIM Execution Plans and LOD standards
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a high-growth environment

Preferred

* Experience building VDC programs from the ground up
* Dynamo, Power BI, P6, or point cloud workflow experience
* Digital twin or prefabrication coordination experience
* Autodesk certifications or LEED accreditation
