Project Executive – Hyperscale Data Center Construction

A leading national general contractor with a rapidly expanding mission critical division is seeking an experienced Project Executive to lead the delivery of large-scale hyperscale data center projects across Virginia.

This organization is actively delivering some of the most significant data center developments in North America and is looking for a senior construction leader capable of overseeing multiple project teams, driving operational excellence, and supporting strategic business growth.

The Role
The Project Executive is responsible for the overall success of assigned hyperscale data center projects, providing executive-level leadership across construction operations, project delivery, client management, financial performance, and team development.

Reporting to senior operations leadership, this individual will oversee project teams from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities
* Lead the successful delivery of large-scale hyperscale data center construction projects
* Oversee project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation
* Provide leadership to project management, field operations, and preconstruction teams
* Manage financial performance, contract administration, and risk mitigation strategies
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and industry partners
* Drive safety, quality, and operational excellence across multiple projects and teams
* Support proposal development, client presentations, and business development initiatives
* Oversee commissioning, turnover, and project closeout activities
* Mentor and develop project leadership teams while identifying continuous improvement opportunities
* Contribute to strategic growth planning and operational objectives for the business unit

Requirements
* 15+ years of construction project management and operations leadership experience
* Previous experience serving as the senior-most project leader, Project Executive, Director, or equivalent role
* Proven experience managing large, complex construction projects with significant budgets and schedules
* Strong leadership, communication, financial management, and client-facing capabilities
* Experience leading multiple project teams and mentoring construction professionals
* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
* Data center, mission critical, or hyperscale construction experience strongly preferred
